FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about Dye-Sublimation Printing...

Listed below we have some frequently asked questions, click them for the answer.

Question 4: Can you explain what Dye Sublimation means?

A search on the Internet using the word 'sublimation' will return 1000's of pages. Many of these refer to Dye Sub thermal proofing printers. These do not constitute dye sublimation printing in relation to i-Sub’s core business.

The term Dye Sublimation can be simply defined by the sentence, 'Solid dye particles being changed into gas using heat and pressure, which then bond with any Polymers present, and then change back into a solid'.

In plain English, this equates to putting sublimation ink on paper and applying heat and pressure.
